I was flipping through the channels a few weeks ago and came across one of my favorite childhood memories. The movie "Clash of the Titans". Some of you kids may not have seen this movie so hears a link: [link] The movie had no CGI (!) but featured epic battles with monsters of all kind thanks to the master of stop motion animation Ray Harryhausen. I wanted to do a scene from the movie/greek myth where Perseus displays the head of Medussa to turn the sea monster to stone, saving Andromeda. This was my first personal piece in a while and I had a great time working on it. Go see "Clash of the Titans"...it may be kinda cheesy compared to modern cinema but it was way epic back in the day!
You know what is weird? i was just talking to my friends today about that i was going to paint the Kraken from Clash of the Titans movie, and you've done did it! ow weird, huh?
Love that move and I love this piece. Well done dude. As big a fan as I am of Harryhausen it's strange that I still don't have Clash Of The Titans on DVD. I have most of what has been released here in Australia though.

Also I watched Dragonslayer for the first time the other day. That had some of the best and most realistic stop motion animation I have ever seen. ILM would have had Harryhausen in mind when it was being made.

I loved that movie, non-stop monsters, but the kraken went down to easy. and wat about the giant scorpions that were born from the medusas blood (a little overboard)!
One of my favorite movies of all time! Nevermind that it starred Harry Hamlin Thank you so much for this!!!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant.
