The Great Banta:This creature normally resides in the polar regions of planets. It uses airsack-like lungs throughout its body for lift and to support its massive frame...They feed on airborne zooplankton and the occasional flying animal. In its quest for the most abundant plankton it will often traverse the jet streams to the south...upon arriving in the warmer climates the cold air surrounding the creature and updrafts created by its flight cause the formation of cumulonimbus clouds charged with electricity. These conditions produce some of the most violent thunderstorms imaginable with high winds, frequent lightning and tornadoes. Needless to say this great beast plays an important role in planetary atmospheric conditions.
