Argh... after writing a long, detailed, constructive comment for you, dA fouled up and lost it for me. Grrrr.
So, to summarise what I wrote before: great poses. Really dynamic. Horse good. Knight's body too short and stiff, try leaning him to give him more sense of movement. Good work on face. Like the feet.
Hope that makes sense... I can't be arsed to rewrite it all right now
And after 20 comments before me, I'll try giving you a useful one...
The poses in this are very dynamic. You can see the troll grabbing the lance and using the momentum to swing round with its club, the frightend horse trying to get away. I would say the rider looks to calm; to say he's about to be splatted, he appears to be sitting quite calmly. His upper body is quite squat, too, and slightly disproportionate to his legs. Perhaps if you have him leaning forward more, or in any direction apart from up, it might look more lifelike for the knight.
The troll's ace, though. The face is spot on, and I think you've done the feet well - they look very firmly planted in the ground.
Actually I got both your comments and both are very constructive! I agree with you, the knight's pose is too static...Ill try leaning him as you mentioned. It may take a while to color this guy cuz I got soo much on my plate right now. Need more time....Thanks again for the always informative and dynamic comments!
